My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lulu, the gentle soul who embodies the timeless grace and unwavering loyalty of a true companion. At eight years young, Lulu is a senior pet with a heart as pure as gold and a spirit that shines bright despite her shy demeanor. Lulu is one of our more timid ladies, so introductions with her would need to be slow and at her pace. As you welcome Lulu into your home, you'll discover the true beauty of companionship-the quiet moments shared, the gentle nuzzles exchanged, and the profound bond that transcends words. With Lulu by your side, every day is a testament to the enduring power of love and the joy of finding solace in the presence of a devoted friend. Adopt Lulu, and together, embrace the journey of a lifetime-a journey filled with love, laughter, and the irreplaceable warmth of a senior pet who's not just a pet, but a cherished member of the family.

Additional adoption info

To adopt visit us at 1101 Western Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15233 during the Adoption Center Hours below.

Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor (or volunteer) will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. We will share information about the animal's history and needs, behavior assessment and any volunteer / staff comments.

When you find the right pet for you and your family, the adoption counselor will assist you in completing the proper paperwork. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

What you will need in order to adopt:

A valid PA state ID with your current address.

We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.

Certain animals require additional steps.

Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express and Discover are not accepted as payment.
