Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeene! This cowgirl came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about her past, or how she feels about living with other animals. If you've got another dog at home we'd recommend they come in with you to meet miss Jolene before you decide to adopt. Jolene isn't a big fan of the vet, but hey, who is? She already knows sit and is eager to learn some new tricks, so positive reinforcement training will be great for her. If you're not careful Jolene might take your man....for a walk! She loves to play with toys and entertain you, as well as a nice cozy blanket for some nap time. Adopt this happy and playful girl today!

To adopt visit us at 1101 Western Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15233 during the Adoption Center Hours below.

Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor (or volunteer) will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. We will share information about the animal's history and needs, behavior assessment and any volunteer / staff comments.

When you find the right pet for you and your family, the adoption counselor will assist you in completing the proper paperwork. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

What you will need in order to adopt:

A valid PA state ID with your current address.

We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.

Certain animals require additional steps.

Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express and Discover are not accepted as payment.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to hold or accept a deposit for animals. Adoptions are approved for the first qualified home.
