Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DJ came to SAMS from Farmington after being passed from owner to owner as an "outside cat." The person who brought him in says he didn't get along with his current cats, so DJ would probably do best in a one-cat household.
In a new home, DJ will be hide and be scared at first but, if you give him enough time to decompress, you will have the sweetest lap companion you could ever ask for!

Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
