Morning light filters through the window, warming my fur as I stretch and blink myself awake. The house is quiet, just the way I like it. I tuck myself into my favorite hiding spot—safe, unseen, just observing.

I wasn’t always this brave. When I first arrived, I wasn’t sure if I belonged. I kept my distance, unsure if gentle voices and soft hands could be trusted. But patience, kindness, and quiet understanding have shown me that love isn’t something to fear—it’s something to lean into.

Now, when the day winds down, I find my place. Not in the spotlight, but in the quiet comfort of my foster’s presence. Tonight, it’s the same. He’s lying on his side, and I’ve curled up behind his knees—the perfect little nook where I feel safe. I don’t look at the camera. I don’t need to. This is my comfort zone.
