You will notice at once that all the pictures of Hudson and Hastings are of both of them. That is because they are a bonded pair of siblings, who have been together since birth. Their previous owner, who had to surrender them to Heartland, said, "They are very very bonded. They do everything together! They love each other very much and I have endless pics of them being adorable together. They have the absolute sweetest personalities and get along with other animals just fine."

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
