My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Our big boy bulldog Butch is ready to find his new home!  Butch is a 5 year old English Bulldog that was surrendered to us locally when his owners passed away.  Butch needed some time and TLC to get ready for his new life to begin but now he is a happy, healthy dog and raring to go!

Meet Butch, the most handsome bulldog you'll ever lay eyes on! With his adorable goofy grin and loving personality, he has captured the hearts of everyone in his foster home. Butch is the perfect roommate - he gets along well with all his housemates, including dogs, cats, and humans. He's a well-behaved pup who loves to be showered with love and affection.

Butch is always up for some playtime and his absolute favorite thing in the world is playing with tennis balls or any kind of ball! He loves playing fetch, but he's not one to easily give up the ball. His favorite thing in the world is tennis balls or any kind of ball, but he doesn't easily give up the ball during games of fetch. He will play with other dogs, but usually just to keep away with his toys so they don't take them. He's always ready to go outside for a walk or playtime, but he's just as happy lounging around and being a couch potato.

This sweet boy is well-trained and knows a few commands.  He picked up the routine of his foster home quickly. Butch is also crate-trained and spends most of his day napping inside his cozy crate. He is good on a leash and likes to go for walks. Butch is house-trained and will go to the door to let you know he has to go out. His foster mom works from home, so that is a help. He also has a fully fenced yard in his foster home which he really likes. And did we mention he loves car rides? He's an adventurous pup who's always ready for a new adventure!

We know that many people love English Bulldogs and may consider owning one. However, it's important to understand that Bulldogs are an expensive breed to own and require regular maintenance to keep them healthy. This includes daily attention to their hygiene, high-quality food, and frequent visits to the vet due to their susceptibility to health issues. When Butch arrived, he was not in the best shape, and now we're searching for a home that can provide him with the necessary care to maintain his health.

Butch is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.   His adoption fee is $700

Please go to our website and read about the dog there as well as all pertinent info. for adopting this dog. IF THERE IS INFORMATION NOT INCLUDED IN THE DOGS PROFILE THAT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHETHER ,,,GENERALLY SPEAKING,,,,THIS DOG IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY, THEN PLEASE GO AHEAD AND EMAIL WITH THAT SPECIFIC QUESTION. We will be happy to answer questions not already covered in the thorough amount of info already printed on our website. We are all volunteers with jobs and families and probably more dogs than you, so please understand that we are very busy. We are not able to keep up with the constant general questions and phone call requests that, with a little time and reading on your part, is already included on our website. Replying to all emails makes it very difficult to do our jobs as well as we would like.
All dogs who have adoptions PENDING, will have that info printed right next to their name. Having a pending adoption does not make it a done deal, it means that we are at the home visit/meet and greet phase of the adoption and it could go one way or another so feel free to check back on the status of the dog in question.
We do not have a facility for you to come and visit our dogs. They are in our homes, sleeping in our beds and lounging on our sofa. We value our privacy and do not open our homes to visitors wanting to meet "all the dogs".
Thank you for your interest in our wonderful Pixie Mamas pooches. Without you adopters we could not continue to do what we do. We appreciate your time and effort as well ,to comply with what is needed for us to keep Pixie Mamas Rescue going with as little stress and extra time as necessary.
Our adoption fees start at $200, some highly adoptable dogs are more and others are less - that will be stated in their profiles.
Good luck in finding the right dog for your family.

More about this rescue

Pixie Mamas Rescue (PMR) is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes. We aid in the rescue of small breed dogs. We are located in Western New York.
All PMR dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.
