Sonia's story began in the midst of a challenging hoarding situation in South Texas. Despite her rough start, Sonia has shown incredible resilience and a heart full of love. She was discovered among many other animals, all vying for attention and care. Fortunately, Sonia was rescued from this difficult environment and given the chance to start anew.

Sonia is looking for a forever home where she can be cherished and cared for as part of the family. She thrives on love and attention, so a household with plenty of affection to give would be perfect for her. Sonia would do well in a calm and patient environment, where she can continue to build her confidence and trust in humans. A fenced yard where she can explore and play safely would be a bonus, as Sonia enjoys spending time outdoors.

SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
