My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mancala, a spirited canine who brings joy and energy to every room she bounds into. Her friendly demeanor and lively spirit are infectious, making her the life of any party. Mancala`s intelligence is as impressive as her energy levels. She`s mastered a variety of commands and is always eager to learn more. Her intelligence doesn`t just shine through in her quick learning; it`s also evident in the way she interacts with those around her, understanding their moods and responding accordingly. Mancala`s adoption will be a blessing to any family, not just because of her vibrant personality, but also because of her ability to adapt and learn. This clever, friendly, and energetic dog will make every day brighter with her presence.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
