My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tilly, a snack-sized senior who loves relaxing, sunbathing, and being sweet to everyone. Please consult your GP for fitness testing if you're considering adopting her. Your doctor will conduct standard evaluations such as the Soup Test (if you can hold a bowl of soup then you have enough strength to carry Tilly) and basic cardio screening to make sure your heart can handle all the love that's about to blast through it.

Here's some notes from her foster:

I've had Tilly for almost a week now and she's doing great. She seemed a bit shut down when I first got her, no tail wags, no pep in her step. She is slowly but steadily coming out of her shell. She was in full tail wag mode when I came home from work today, it was great to see. Tilly is house trained, very quiet (I haven't heard a peep out of her yet) and good on the leash.

She sleeps soundly with me in my bed, has a great appetite (she could use a little more meat on her bones) and takes treats nicely. She puts up with her twice daily eye drops like a champ. At first she wouldn't go up/down the stairs on her own, but now she does it with ease and has even learned to navigate the mesh covering on my back door.

She is good with people, she loves chin scratches and likes being brushed. She has the sweetest puppy eyes and will stare at you and make your day. She is a great lap dog and will sleep there for as long as you let her. I have not been able to test her around cats, other dogs or children. All in all, she is a very sweet little lady.

More about this rescue

Muttville is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the lives of senior dogs. On a local level, Muttville rescues senior dogs and finds them foster homes or gives them hospice. On a global level, Muttville provides information about caring for older dogs and support for people who do.

Through associations with shelters and other animal organizations, Muttville finds senior dogs that have been given up and are not likely to find adopted homes. Through outreach and networking, Muttville finds suitable foster homes for these dogs. Ultimately, Muttville will have its own facility to house dogs that are not yet placed, or that are unlikely to be placed.
