My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Medusa is a Red Tailed Boa Constrictor who is approximately 2 years old.  We suspect that she is a female but have not had her checked so we are not 100% sure on her gender.  She came into DuPage Animal Control when her owner lost their house and couldn't keep her.   She was seen by the vet and is in great shape, currently eating Med/Large F/T rats.  Boa Constrictors can live for 20-30 years and reach 11feet in length.  She will grow to be a very big girl and will require an owner who can accommodate an enclosure for her as she grows.  Red Tailed Boa's are more docile than other boa's but they can still be feisty.  She has never been aggressive so far but is not huge on being held either, she likes to move and of course as she gets bigger will be significantly stronger.  She will need someone who is experienced with snakes and aware and capable to handling her for many more decades and significant more length.

Her adoption fee is $150

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers whose passion for animals have led us into the animal rescue community. We focus on local animals that are homeless, neglected, abused, or need a new home, and bring them to safety. Our goal is to educate, rehabilitate, and help connect animals with their forever home. Through education we hope to end the mistreatment and overpopulation of animals.
