My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

UPDATE May 7, 2024:

Honey has a lot going for her!  She is a one year old, small (14 pounds) female with an easy to care for coat.  She is happy to be a couch potato with you during the day or your best bed buddy at night.  Watching your every step, Honey walks well on a leash and is not a nuisance barker.  While not a fan of a crate, once placed in one she is quiet.  Honey loves a good road trip and travels well; she is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door.

Honey came to us when her owners were over the number of dogs allowed according to city zoning laws.  Although initially shy with new people and in new situations, once she learns to trust she's your loving cuddly friend.  (see video)  Honey will not do well in a home with small children.  Because she has lived with a large pack of dogs and with cats, she would do well with friendly companions.  She will bond strongly to her person!

Honey is spayed, up to date with vaccines, and on flea/tick/heartworm monthly preventatives.

For more information or to ask questions contact her foster mom at: margaretwilliamsharvey@gmail.com.  She is being lovingly fostered in Northumberland, PA. 17857.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
