Joplin came to the shelter on April 4, 2024 when her owner passed away. She is used to living in a seniors home where it was a quiet and loving environment. She adored her owner and is missing him terribly. Joplin has had a history of urinary infections so to prevent this from happening again, she MUST stay on a Urinary SO dry and wet food to remain her healthy happy self. She is a very energetic girl and LOVES to chase balls EVERYWHERE. A large supply of sponge balls is a must for this beautiful girl. Joplin loves to be with people. She is very social and will want to be part of the action. Come have a visit with the beautiful girl and see her in action as she chases her balls across the room. You wont be disappointed.

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
