Meet April, a petite 1-year-old Blue Merle Rough Collie with puppy energy for days! Her foster mom says that April is one of the sweetest pups she’s ever met—incredibly affectionate and smothering you in kisses in the very best way!
April adores her people and wants to be near them at all times. She’s her foster mom’s darling little shadow! April is also amazing with kids and gladly accepts all of the attention that they offer her. She does love to chase them and can be a bit mouthy at times, but she’s very gentle and responds well to redirection. We know April would be thrilled to have some human siblings of her very own!
April also loves being around other dogs, and playing with her puppy pals is a great way for her to get her energy out! She and her foster family’s resident dog enjoy running in circles together all around the house. We think April will do best in a forever family with a spirited dog sibling (or two!) to play with, and a yard with a physical fence so she’ll have plenty of room to run free!
April is completely house- and crate-trained, and she sleeps soundly through the night without making a peep. Her leash walking is coming along nicely; she’ll definitely make a great walking buddy! April has great recall and already knows “sit” and “down.” We’re sure that she’ll pick up more commands and tricks in no time!
If you’re looking to add a little Collie sweetheart to your pack, April just might be the girl for you! Fill out an Adoption Application for her today!
