My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi future best friend, my name is Oreo Pete. I’m a four month old pitty, learning fast on commands. I'm really smart too. I actually go to the door and wait to go potty or play. I sleep the whole night in my crate. I am great walking on a leash and I love going on adventures. I’m just happy to be with my humans! If you ignore me to long I'll come tell you about it. I love to play with other dogs. I also just love to porch sit and enjoy playing with my squeaky toys. So far I’ve been around many fur friends, big kids, little kids, chickens and do just fine! I love everyone I meet. My foster mom says I’m the sweetest little guy she’s ever met! I love jumping in her face to give kisses while she does yard work. I do like to cuddle too! Won’t you come meet me and be my new bestie? Apply today to add this sweet boy to your pack! His adoption fee is $250. He is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped.

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Go meet their pets

As a network of foster homes, we do not have a "shelter location". We do hold meet and greet events each month at various locations where you can meet our precious pitties. Otherwise, meet and greets are only available with an approved application and home visit.

You can view our schedule of events at www.adoptapitrescue.org/events or on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/adoptapitrescue

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue, re-home and rehabilitate abused, neglected and discarded "bully breed" dogs, with a focus on educating and advocating to ensure all bully breeds have a positive and optimistic future in a breed discriminatory society.
