Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Boomer is available for adoption through So MD Animal Rescue in Maryland.
Heyyyy! It’s Boomer!
I’m new around here and am pleased to meet you. I’m an American Staffordshire and Pit Bull Terrier mix and just as handsome as they come. They used to call me Pocket at the shelter when they picked me up as a stray, I guess because I am a “Pocket Pittie”. That is what they call little and adorable fellas like me.
I’m a hunky 47 lbs and 2 years old. Yeah, a toddler, but as cute as they get. I often stick my tongue out when I am relaxed.
I am just perfect to do everything with, go hiking, walking, maybe even running if you teach me to run alongside, and gosh, I would love to explore the water everywhere because that is just so much fun.
My foster Mom says she is so proud of me because I am now house-trained and crate trained. I can be left home alone while you go to work, but if someone is home most of the time would be just so AWESOME! I love being with my humans.
I like older kids to hang out with because I get excited meeting new people and other dogs of course, and can be a little jumpy and pushy. If you know how to redirect me and can continue to work with me would be my ideal leader.
I have been doing really well with the other doggies that range from a 8-lb Chihuahua to another 50-lb Pibble at my foster home. I have enjoyed playing with bigger dogs, boys and girls, but I think little dogs are a fun toy and I want to chase them. So a home without cats and little dogs is a must for me so we all can be happy.
I hope you like walks, hikes, and the outdoors as much as I do. I need that exercise to be truly happy.
My foster Mom said I make her proud because I am learning so much. I know how to sit, go in my crate, come out, wait and stay (for just a few seconds because I get so excited), look at me, come here (while in the yard or in the house. I learn quickly because I like yummy treats and even more, squeaky toys. She said whoever is lucky enough to bring me home is going to love me to pieces. I am such good boy she says.
I am already micro-chipped , lost my jewels (whatever that means) and got all my vaccines and on heartworm, flea and tick preventives.
Hey, if you’d like to meet me just send a message to So MD Animal Rescue for more information to make me your boy and bring me home. I promise, you won’t regret it because I will be your bestest boy you ever had as long as you keep working with me. I will make you real proud. I sure would love to have my own forever hoomans that will love me forever!!!!

Then adoption is finalized and dog may go home with his new loving family.
Additional adoption info
You may request an adoption application by sending an email to: NeedfulSoulsDogRescue@gmail.com
We do not accept the online application. We require additional information on our adoption application.
Adoption fees apply depending on the age of the dog, but range between $200 (seniors) and $350 per dog. Puppies under the age of 6 months require a spay/neuter deposit.
We require reference and vet checks along with a home visit before we consider adopting any of our dogs by a signed contract.
Our dogs are cared for in private foster homes and are NOT in a shelter set up or public facility to visit. Once the adoption has been approved, a meet and greet with a dog can be scheduled. If it is a good fit, the adoption can then be finalized.
