Hi there, my name is Glasco! Or at least, that's what the folks at the shelter have been calling me. Who knows what my true breed mix is? Some say I might have some Cane Corso, Weimaraner, or even Great Dane in me, but without a DNA test, it's all just speculation.
I found myself in the shelter on April 25, 2024, as a stray. Must've been quite the adventure to get here, but I can't remember much about it. What I do remember is this pesky abscess on my right elbow. Thankfully, the shelter's veterinarian is keeping an eye on it. I'm hoping it's nothing too serious, but I'm in good hands either way.
They haven't been able to do any temperament testing yet because of my injury, but I like to think I'm a friendly guy once you get to know me. I've already been vaccinated and weighed in at 58 lbs. A bit thin for my size, but with regular meals now, I should fatten up in no time.
One piece of fantastic news is that I tested negative for heartworm! That's a huge relief. I'll be updating my post once I've had some time to heal up and start feeling like myself again. Here's to brighter days ahead!
*Update...My elbow is broken and my shoulder is dislocated and I will require surgery after some of the swelling goes down. I will most likely be in hospital for the next 30 days but will be needing a home to recover from my surgery. Either a foster home or a forever home. Will keep you update with my progress.
