Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** If you are interested in adopting Rocky, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ **
Meet Rocky! Rocky's a beautiful Golden Retriever / Husky mix. He is 2 years old and 50lbs. He is a gorgeous, and super friendly & social boy. He would love to be someone's adventure buddy.
Rocky came to Farfel's Rescue from a high kill shelter in Houston. Farfel's received a plea email to save his life, and we knew we had to help this wiggly guy!
The following is from Rocky's foster:
"Rocky loves playing with my dogs and going for trail walks! He is super friendly and has been been a joy to have! He greets everyone he meets with a tail that wags to hard that his whole butt wiggles!"
Farfel's Rescue feel very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training classes that are virtual or in-person. We therefore aren't willing to adopt out to a home that doesn't choose to offer her this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area.
We're open to Rocky finding his forever home with a family or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a silly and super-smart boy. A family that works from a home-based office would also be a great choice for him that would love nothing more than getting loved up periodically throughout the day. Rocky enjoys his relationships with all humans and dogs.
Rocky is up to date on his vetting/vaccinations and neutered.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com.
