My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WEIGHT: 55lbs.

Meet Lily- This 8-year-old Husky girl is still full of energy and sass. She is fun on walks and will walk politely next to you on a loose leash. Lily can get over stimulated during play and has been known to jump up onto people or ‘mount' them. She is easy to redirect in these moments, but adopters with small children may want to take this into consideration. Lily does well with other dogs that can match her rough and tumble vocal playstyle but laid-back dogs might find her to be a bit too much. At 8 years old, Lily is in good health, and will benefit from a continued healthy diet to ensure that she stays at a good weight for her size. Adopters may also consider starting her on a joint supplement or exploring arthritis medications in the future to keep her joints healthy and strong! If you would like to come and meet her, feel free to call our adoptions desk or stop by during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.

Additional adoption info

In response to COVID-19, and the current social distancing rules, all of our animals are now being housed in foster homes and our adoption procedures have changed. Please read the following ADOPTION STEPS on our website for further details!

**Please Note: Most of our adoptions are beginning with a foster-to-adopt period, and because of this, we are temporarily unable to consider applications from households outside the counties of: Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Monterey.

If you rent, please have a copy of your lease or a letter from your landlord that states you can have a pet(s) ready.

If you’re adopting a dog, introduce your future friend to any other dogs in the family (dog adoptions only).
