My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WEIGHT: 39 lbs

Meet Coco- Coco is a spunky mid-sized Beagle mix that has a knubby little tail and an outgoing personality. She came to us from a partner shelter where she was surrendered by her previous owner when the person was unable to find pet friendly housing. Sweet Coco was a bit stressed when she arrived at the shelter, but she has been adjusting nicely and has warmed to staff and volunteers here. She has settled into a nice routine and gets very excited when staff or volunteers take her out for walks or to play in the yard. According to her previous owners, she has lived with kids and other dogs, but has had no exposure to cats. Coco is a great little dog who is very deserving of a forever home. Think that you might be her person? Feel free to call our adoptions desk or stop by during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.

In response to COVID-19, and the current social distancing rules, all of our animals are now being housed in foster homes and our adoption procedures have changed. Please read the following ADOPTION STEPS on our website for further details!

**Please Note: Most of our adoptions are beginning with a foster-to-adopt period, and because of this, we are temporarily unable to consider applications from households outside the counties of: Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Monterey.

If you rent, please have a copy of your lease or a letter from your landlord that states you can have a pet(s) ready.

If you’re adopting a dog, introduce your future friend to any other dogs in the family (dog adoptions only).
