Hello! My name is Rubble. I am a handsome 3-year old Shepherd mix pup looking for my new home.

I am such a good boy and I absolutely love being around my human and dog friends. I made a best friend here at the shelter and his name is Diesel. We play so well together and I just loved running around in the yard and playing.

I take treats very nicely and I eat very politely, as well. I would definitely benefit from someone who has the dedication to taking me on long walks and working with me on the leash. I haven`t had much experience with cats so feline friends are not a good idea for my new home.

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.

My adoption fee is $50

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
