My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE STARTING WEDNESDAY 5/15 ***
Meet Solana, the radiant sunbeam in the form of a dog! This tan sweetheart is the epitome of gentle nature and unconditional love. Solana has embarked on her own journey and is ready to embrace life to the fullest.

One of Solana's endearing quirks is the way she playfully contorts her face, creating an adorable display that resembles a sneeze or a grin, melting hearts wherever she goes. Her medium size perfectly complements her sweet disposition, making her an ideal companion for anyone seeking a furry friend to share life's adventures with.

Solana's zest for exploration knows no bounds, so it's essential to keep an eye on those short fences when she's around. Though she may initially be a tad skittish around loud noises, once she feels safe and secure, she's a devoted lapdog who won't leave your side.

While Solana adores company, she's best suited for families with older kids who understand the importance of respecting her boundaries and won't engage in chasing games. She's a social butterfly who gets along famously with both dogs and cats, spreading warmth and joy wherever she roams.

If you're ready to welcome a bundle of sunshine into your life, look no further than Solana. With her gentle spirit and unwavering loyalty, she'll brighten even the darkest of days with her infectious charm and boundless love.

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
