My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nitro is the sweetest little guy. This Australian shepherd puppy is gentle and Velcro. He loves being held and cuddled and just wants to hang with his human. Nitro enjoys playing with toys and being around other dogs. He has a great time exploring the yard and just being outside.

Nitro has been introduced to potty training and spending time in his crate. We know he’s very smart and he’ll figure things out quickly.

Because puppies shouldn’t be left alone for long hours, Nitro would like an active family where someone is around most of the time. Extra credit if you understand the brains and energy needs of a smart herding dog. He needs a physical, fenced yard and would enjoy another dog. But he’d also be fine being an only pup and keeping all the cuddles and attention for himself.

Nitro is being fostered in the St. Louis area. He is one of a litter of eight puppies and we will do our best to make the best possible match for each of the puppies.

The first step in adoption will be to fill out an application. Once the application is approved, we will contact you. We may also request a home visit which will be done by one of our volunteers. Our goal is to not only find our pups a safe home but ensure it is a good match for the adopter and the pup.

Our adoption donation fee is $300.00. This includes the spay/neuter and the pup being current on vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped.
