You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.

Valentine's puppies are fully weaned and she is now ready for her happily ever after. Valentine longs to be your love bug. She is friendly and loving, however will be skittish at first, and will need time to adjust to her new home. She was very protective of her puppies and bit a visitor who got too close to them. The bite was minor and needed no medical attention, but in full disclosure, you must be willing to sign an indemnity contract if select to adopt stating you are fully aware that she has bitten and are willing to take that risk.

This girl was heavily pregnant when she was found running the streets. A good Samaritan took her in and cared for her, helping her learn to trust (she was a fear biter) On Feb. 24, Valentine brought forth 6 new puppies.

Valentine gets along with other dogs, but is slightly fearful of children. She barks at the kitty and would chase him if given the chance. Thank goodness for baby gates!

Valentine take a minute to warm up to strangers. so, slow movements, gentle voice, and lots of treats will win her heart!

Submit Application

You MUST register on our website and submit your application. a $20 submission fee is required. www.yorkierescuehouston.org

2.
Interview

Immediately upon receipt of your application, an auto-response email is sent. If you didn't get it, check SPAM. VET RECORDS ARE REQUIRED.

3.
Home Check

You must send VET RECORDS. Home visits are required for puppies and first time pet owners

4.
Meet the Pet

The whole family, including current pets must attend any Meet & Greet.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

All adoptions require a contract. All YRH dogs have 100% 'right of return' You must promise to never rehome the pet. They come back to US

Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary by pet.
