MaryAnne is a sweetie. Both she and her brother Waldo are like “old souls” in a puppy body. They love to play, but at times they are also happy to just sit and watch on our front lawn. MaryAnne sleeps through the night in her crate. She loves her bed that after repair is back in her crate. She is now sleeping through the night and is sooooo happy to greet you in the morning. She gets out and stretches with a tail that wags so hard she whacks everything in sight. She is between harness sizes and is learning a little about a collar (Martingale) along with the harness. The ideal home for her has time for her playful puppiness, has a resident dog she can play with and maybe some school age kids to help with running off the energy. She does not seem affected by any loud sounds like from cars or planes, outside items like mowers or inside items like the vacuum or TV. Kitties are okay as long as she learns in the beginning to “leave it.”
She has learned sit, off, drop it and leave it…She is very polite at meal times and has learned she gets her bowl when she’s polite and sits. There is no resource guarding. She eats well with her brother nearby. Her favorite toys are her Kong soft play toys and a Kong puppy binky. She is almost potty trained….we use washable potty pads and they seem to work quite well inside the house. Her hints to go out are subtle but there.
She has been one of the most loving, SMART puppies that I’ve had the pleasure to raise/foster.
*Puppies will only be adopted to a home with a preexisting adult dog, no children under age five, no unfenced pools, and where the puppy will not be home alone for long hours. Do not fill out an application for a puppy if you do not meet ALL requirements. Your application will be immediately denied and will not be processed.
