Introducing OliveOyl! Found abandoned in a crate in an alley, her past a mystery, she likely carries some trauma. Nights are improving as we ease into crate training; she sleeps beside me, comforted by my presence. However, leaving her in the crate during the day is a challenge—she vocalizes her distress. Separation anxiety and likely abandonment trauma will require patient, understanding owners who can be with her often.
Olive adores dogs and playtime, her energy boundless. Yet, her enthusiasm can overwhelm her, even causing stress around other dogs. She's a vigorous player, needing a canine companion who matches her zest. Medication helps manage her exuberance, but her need for play remains crucial.
Despite her challenges, Olive is affectionate, intelligent, and trainable. While potty training progresses, accidents occur mainly at night. She's not destructive and responds well to commands. Attached to her caregiver, she seeks reassurance in new situations. We're teaching her manners, though her love for food is undeniable.
Olive's joy lies in outdoor adventures, playtime with dogs, and exploring her surroundings. Affectionate and sweet, she's a delightful companion in need of a patient, loving family willing to help her flourish.
OliveOyl is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
