My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kitty Purry has the gift of kitty gab and always has something to say. Whether she's purring, meowing, or ordering her cats companions around Kitty is a cat of many words. Due to her chatty nature it's best kitty is in a home environment free from other cats. She may get along with them temporarily but is highly selective in the cats she chooses to get along with. Kitty appreciates human contact. She could out talk even the chattiest of people and has a playful kitten innocence about herself as well. If one of our cats went viral Kitty would certainly be the most probable candidate. Very sweet adorable and playful. You will not be disappointed if you simply give her a chance. Her estimated date of birth is 11/1/22.

HSPC's adoption fee is currently reduced from $100 to $75 unless stated otherwise within the pet's description. Every pet that is available for adoption has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, wormed and is up-to-date on vaccinations including heartworm preventative (canines). Adopters are required to schedule a wellness exam with their veterinarian at their cost within 7 days of adoption. We are currently closed to the public and we will only respond to inquiries accompanying an application submitted through warmhearts.org/adopt.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
