My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PEBBLES

BREED: Pomeranian blend (possibly Pom-Chi)

AGE: 3 years

WEIGHT: 8 lbs

LIKES: Napping, being near her person, treats

DISLIKES: Strange situations, new people and animals (initially, then she warms up just fine)

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Pebbles is a dream dog, for the right owner. She is fairly low energy and probably just needs a short walk a day to stay happy. She barks, spins, and runs laps when her foster mom leaves for a few minutes then returns. Her favorite thing to do is curl up and nap next to her person/people. Her second favorite thing is to approach you, then run away so that you will chase her. She is cautious, yet friendly, with other small dogs – she shakes around large dogs. Pebbles hides from the resident cat in the foster home, who doesn’t want to be friends. ‍

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She is perfect – happy to go potty in the yard or on a walk and will seek out and use a potty pad on her own if no one can let her out.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Comfortable and secure in her crate. She trades off sleeping in her crate and under the bed. She uses the crate occasionally during the day as a “safety stop.”

EXTRAS/MISC: There isn’t a more gentle or sweet dog around! Pebbles is so well behaved and affectionate, and a bit of a couch potato. She is timid, and will take a few days to decompress before showing her true personality. Pebbles will hide from the house cat in her foster home, from big dogs on walks, and from loud people, so a home with children older than 10 years is recommended. She loves to hang out, napping right next to her foster mom, who works from home. A few times a day she gets the most adorable zoomies, running circles around the room, inviting you to chase her. She likes to “box” with her little paws. You’ll find that this sweet girl is easily bribed with treats, so training should go smoothly. She would be happy in a house or an apartment, with or without a yard, as long as she gets 1-2 short walks each day. She does love to be outside in the sunshine, walking or lying around. Pebbles just wants to love you and feel safe.

We are very excited to introduce Pebbles to the world! Her future family is out there, and she will be a fantastic addition.
