My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you ready to welcome your next adventure buddy? Meet Nadia, a young, energetic bundle of joy. Her sweetness radiates, making her irresistible to all who meet her. Though shy initially, she warms up quickly, revealing her playful and cuddly nature that is sure to steal your heart. Nadia loves to run and play, but she's also a fan of quiet moments, gently cuddling up to those she trusts. Her friendly disposition and high energy levels would make her the perfect adventure companion for an outdoorsy adopter.

Nadia was found as a stray so her history is unknown, but she will require an adopter who can help her continue to build her confidence. She is still working on her house training and basic obedience, but her sweet and shy personality, matched with her smaller size make Nadia the perfect new addition to a quiet but active home.

If you would like to welcome Nadia into your heart, please submit an application to the Shuswap branch through the link below!

**Please note that due to the high number of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
