My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TOBER and POPPY are a bonded pair of special dogs looking for a loving home where they can stay together. They met in their rescue foster home and have become inseparable. Tober has taken it upon himself to be Poppy's seeing-eye dog. Tober is a male, 1 year old, and is always by her side. Poppy is a female, 2-3 years old and is blind. Tober often alerts Poppy to any noises or potential dangers that he hears/sees. They are a very playful and curious pair who love to explore the world together. They are both affectionate and loyal dogs who will stick together. They would do well in a household where they can receive lot's
of attention and care. They are a sweet and gentle bonded pair who are in need of a loving home that can give them the care that they require.

Please email desertpawsnm@gmail. to inquire if they're still available. Please be a resident of the Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho or Los Alamos areas of New Mexico. This pair prefer to be your only pets. Adoption process: online application, talk by phone, we bring the pets to your home to meet all household members. We love updates!

More about this rescue

We work with the animals at three local Indian tribes (pueblos). We have a spay/neuter called, Door2Door, we assist animals with medical emergencies, prevention, education. We rehab and re-home the unwanted, abandoned, and neglected. At the time of adoption, we bring the pet to your home to make sure all family members including all fur babies get along and all are onboard and committed to the pet. We have an adoption process and we like to stay in touch with the families for the life of the pet.
