My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stu has such a sad story. His owner from birth thought they had found a great new home, but because he did not get along with the resident dog, he was “let loose”. He is a people lover! He also seems to get along with female dogs. He does not like male dogs! And, No cats! Nada! He has shown no resource guarding, but he enthusiastically hoovers down treats and food! Stu sits and downs on command. He may know how to walk nicely on a leash, but he has not demonstrated that! He is a great boy, though! He is neutered, vaxed and microchipped! Come meet him!

Additional adoption info

Persons adopting from me through internet contact are required to show me photos of the area where the dog will spend most of its time, a vet's number and the number of a person who has known the potential adopter for at least 5 years. I do not require a fee, donations are appreciated. If a dog does not work out for the adopter, I can usually take it back right away, but if I have no room, I will work to find a new placement.

More about this rescue

I am a retired public school teacher, mother of 3, grandma of 7, and I do this because I love to join people and pets. I have always been one to bring home strays, so this is just a part of who I am. I own a small hobby farm with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, sheep and goats..
