My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lexa! She is a very active and intelligent girl who is almost 2 years old. She is looking for a home with a big dog friend for her to play with. She prefers male dogs usually, but can do well with females with a proper introduction.

Lexa needs room to run and activities to keep her busy. She currently lives with cats and has never tried to hurt them, but she unintentionally plays rough and enjoys chasing them when they run. She will do better with friends closer to her own size.

Lexa is heartworm negative and on preventative. She was spayed when she was 18 months old and is current on vaccines.

Lexa is very playful but loves to snuggle and nap too. Her ideal home will provide her with ample opportunities to run and play as well as time to cuddle.

More about this rescue

Five Friends Animal Rescue, Inc. is a foster-based animal welfare organization of volunteers dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters, strays, and owner surrenders. We provide these animals with care and temporary homes until we can place them into their permanent homes. We also serve as a resource to our community by providing information on pet ownership, including resources for spay/neuter and positive behavior training. We believe that no animal should be mistreated and are working towards the day when no companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home.
