Jax is a handsome, blue (gray) lab-pit mix with striking blue-tinged eyes! He's about 8 months old, 50+ lbs with BIG paws, who was left outside an Indiana shelter. This friendly hunk of a guy enjoys a good snuggle, is affectionate, ADORES just chillin' outside and a brisk walk to get that energy out - he's doing well on a leash, but would benefit from basic training and commands. He'd love to have his people home to follow around and cuddle with as much as possible, is friendly and curious around other dogs, and would love a yard (fence probably optional, as he seems quite comfortable supervised on a tether!). Jax is very interested in squirrels and birds (but doesn't bolt), barks only infrequently, and may require patience and time to be comfortable around men. Adoption fees are $225 for dogs over 6 months and $250 for dogs 6 months and younger. This fee includes spay/neuter, rabies shot if dog is over 4 months old, parvo/distemper shots up to the time of adoption, fecal check, microchip, and all dogs are heartworm negative.

Rover Rescue is an all-breed dog rescue group located 40 miles west of Chicago in Aurora, IL. The dogs/puppies in our organization have been rescued from high-kill animal shelters located in Illinois and Indiana.
