My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Shadow came to us with friend Rocky, another kittygirl as the Husky in their house was acting like a big bad wolf toward them. They had to watch their back 24/7 and this is why, I think, both gals appear at times a little bit wary...Shadow is charming, a sweet and shy oreo cookie who likes company and petting. She is well versed in proper feline behavior, is attuned to her visitors, leans into pets, purrs and comes on the lap when everything is quiet and feels safe in her ward. She is a pretty nugget who looks a bit serious but forgets, it seems, all her worries when she is with her person. Shadow is eight year old and looks great but  was found to have two mammary gland tumors that need to be removed at the time of her spay. She needs of course a hero who can make the rest of her life safe, comfortable and chock full of love. Little Shadow has so much to give to a new owner. Come to the Manhattan Care Center and bring her home!

I lived with children in my previous home.

I have lived with cats.

The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no dogs.

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
