HAPPY SPRING! My name is Louie! I am the biggest, gentlest giant of a blue pitbull mix you ever did see. I weigh 71.5 pounds and just love giving my humans kisses and cuddles.
I love getting treats and I do take them very gently, but it`s always good to remind me to sit before I get one. I sit extremely well and on command so keep those tricks coming.
I will need to go to a home with someone who is extremely dedicated to taking me to training classes, especially to learn to walk well on a leash. I am an extremely big and strong boy and I can pull pretty hard so training in this area will be key.
I love to play with my friends here at the shelter, but if you have other dog friends, we will need to meet here at the shelter before I can go home with you.

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

Approve Application
Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

Sign Adoption Contract
If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

Pay Fee
Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.
