My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hola!! Me llamo AMIGO!!

I am a 3-year old Mastiff/Pitbull mix and I am just the most fun boy to be around. I like playing with toys, but I EQUALLY love playing with my human friends.

Yesterday, I got to join a couple dog playgroups here at the shelter and I did very well with both male and female dogs.

I take treats extremely gently and I know how to sit very well. I will do best in a home with older children in their teens that can help me walk politely and not let me pull.

It is very important that my new home will be dedicated into getting me into basic and intermediate training classes where I can meet more and more dogs and more people. I just LOVE people so this will be fun for both of us. Also, my new home needs to be intentional about making sure I get exercise. I have a lot of energy to burn so it`s important I can be helped exerting that energy in a healthy way.

I can`t wait to see you with my handsome brown eyes, so come see me and my friends today!

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.
