My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chief, the lovable 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix with dreams of becoming the chief in your heart. Despite his imposing appearance, Chief is a true softie at heart, with a gentle demeanor and a penchant for cuddles. While he's shown promise with other dogs in passing, Chief can be a bit nervous around people who move too quickly, preferring a calm and patient approach to building trust. His biggest struggle lies in spending time alone, longing for companionship and reassurance. Chief is searching for adopters with a flexible schedule who can help him overcome his separation anxiety and provide the love and support he needs to thrive. With his endearing personality and loyal nature, Chief is sure to melt the hearts of anyone willing to open their home and hearts to him. As a super adventurer, Chief loves nothing more than hanging out with his people, getting cuddles, and being involved in all your activities, ready to join you on every adventure life has to offer

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
