Arugula is looking for their forever home (or garden bed)!
WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Arugula is a calm dog who loves long sniffy walks. Her safe space is her crate. She will go in there to relax and play with her toys. Sometimes she chooses to sleep in the crate, and sometimes comes in the bed. She LOVES her morning couch cuddles after her morning walk.
The biggest question isn't whether Arugula does well with cats, it's whether cats do well with her. Depending on the resident's cat's mood, Arugula may ignore it, play some chase, or if her cat is super curious they will sniff each other face to face. She also does well with other dogs. She loves wrestling and playing with them. When dogs are very vocal or excited, she can be a bit nervous. But she gives an appropriate correction and retreats to her own space.
She currently lives with two elementary aged children. She looks forward to when they come home from school. She can get a little overwhelmed if she's surrounded by a lot of people she doesn't know, but will give a little warning growl to let you know that she just needs some space. She'll do best in a home without a ton of different people coming and going. Otherwise, she's happy to socialize with people on walks, and a confident and loving parent will help her to build her own confidence when meeting new people.
She is 100% all cuddly and a sweet girl who enjoys being treated as a princess.
ATTRIBUTES: Arugula has lived with cats and kids in her foster homes.

Laila's Legacy missions is to ensure every homeless dog - including those with behavioral or physical challenges - that comes through our doors has a chance at a better life while educating the public on breed bias, individualistic training, and the importance of spay-neuter to lower the impact of returned and abandoned animals in shelters.
