Meet Lawrence, the charming 8-year-old Yorkie weighing in at a dainty 7 pounds. Rescued from the streets of a Houston neighborhood after six months of solo exploration, Lawrence found his way to Camo Rescue, where his true personality bloomed. Initially reserved, Lawrence has transformed into a loving and joyful companion. He adores the company of other dogs, particularly the mellow ones, but he also enjoys basking in the presence of his human friends. Due to dental issues, Lawrence prefers wet food over dry, but that doesn't dampen his spirits. He's making remarkable progress with his potty and leash manners. Lawrence is versatile and would thrive in various household settings, whether as the sole pet, alongside other furry companions, or with children. However, due to his knack for escapades, Lawrence requires a home with a fully enclosed fence and should not be left unattended outdoors.

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
