My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Levi! I'm a lively, friendly feline with a heart full of love to give. I'm always ready for a game of chase-the-string or a good old belly rub. I'm known for my sweet nature and my energetic spirit. I'm as loyal as they come, always there to keep you company, whether it's a quiet night in or a busy day around the house. I love to cuddle up close, purring away happily. I'm not just a cat, I'm a friend, a confidante, a companion. Adopting me means gaining a loyal, loving, and lively friend who will always be there to brighten up your day.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
