Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Slate is one of Mama Queen's kittens. He had a wonderful childhood, with the best possible mother. Four are males, like Slate, with 1 female. They are the same size, and all are extremely playful.

All these kittens are gorgeous, with medium black fur and their eyes changing to golden. They all look the same, but we have ways to tell them apart. He's very snuggly and affectionate, though at first he may be shy of strangers. Soon he will be purring and asking for love. Slate will need another kitten or young cat to socialize with. This could be one of his brothers, or sister, or a kitten or young cat you have. Kitten names: Ebony, Onyx, Noir, Dark Star.

We ONLY adopt animals to homes in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
