Alani was brought to Kitten Rescue after her former person abandoned her with a pet sitter. We can't understand why because she is fantastic. Alani has a tremendous personality and is quite vocal. She loves attention but also loves laying in the sun and watching all the activity at the Sanctuary. You can actually follow Alani and her FeLV+ friends on their very own Instagram and Facebook pages: FeLV Cats of Kitten Rescue." We think Alani would do best as a solo cat because she loves human attention but she can be aggressive and overly saucy with other cats. In the right home we know she'll be a perfect cat because she loves treats and meeting new people. Alani is the belle of the ball and will introduce herself to you right away when you enter the Suite. Alani has a beautiful sleek coat and will walk right up to you and plop down on your lap or right beside you whichever she chooses. Then she will tell you about her day and pets will be mandatory. Come meet our boisterous girl!

We ONLY adopt animals to homes in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
