My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruno came to us from Miami-Dade Animal Services, where he was dumped by his previous family. While at the shelter and soon after our rescue saved him, he began displaying some disturbing behaviors that have proven to be quite challenging for both Bruno and all of us. Despite his challenging past, Bruno has been working hard with his trainer to overcome his struggles.

Well, Bruno recently celebrated his 8th birthday with us - he has come so far!

However, Bruno still requires a very specific and experienced adopter. He has shown signs of aggression, but with proper care and attention, we believe he can thrive. When unbothered, Bruno is a gentle soul who gets along fantastically with dogs and cats - and likes to cuddle on his terms.

We’re not looking for just any adopter; we need a hero, someone with extensive experience in training and managing aggressive behavior. Bruno needs either a trainer or an experienced dog owner who can provide the patience, love, and care he deserves.

Bruno loves to rest his head on his human and receive affection. He’s a diamond in the rough, waiting for someone to polish him and bring out his full potential.

We are confident that there IS someone out there who can provide Bruno with the love, care, and expertise he needs.

PLEASE SHARE HIM FAR AND WIDE! We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure his happiness. Let’s find Bruno his miracle and give him the happy ending he deserves.

Additional adoption info

Beagles make wonderful pets. They are friendly, medium sized, highly social animals. They are considered one of the most family-friendly breeds. Beagles are intelligent but, as a result of being bred for the long chase, are single-minded and determined, which can make them hard to train. They can be difficult to recall once they have picked up a scent, and are easily distracted by smells around them.

Beagles love to play and do require more exercise than some other breeds and in most cases are considered moderate to highly active between puppyhood to about 3 years old. After they turn 3, beagles tend to "mature" and become couch potatoes! Exercise is “key” to having a happy and healthy dog. Keep in mind as beagles get older they tend to gain weight.
