My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepperoni (m) &

Mozzarella (f)

BREED: Boxer/Pitbull blend

AGE: approx. 12 weeks

WEIGHT: approx. 17 lbs.

Look at these sweet and active, chunky babies! They're like baby bulls in a China shop, racing around the house, sliding across floors to see who can get to their toys first. They loooove to be on the go and part of the action. They enjoy wrestling and playing with other dogs.

Both can be quite vocal when they play, they just have a lot to say! Each gets along great with dogs of all sizes; however, they like to play ROUGH, which can be a bit much for smaller dogs.

They love bones to chew on, and toys of all kinds. They like being outside and exploring the backyard of their foster home, too.

These two are also VERY food motivated! This will come in handy during obedience training sessions.

When they are all worn out, from a good play session, they like to join the cuddle party on the couch and take a nap with all the dogs in their foster home.

These pups will make great family members for people with active lifestyles and time to devote to their ongoing obedience and enrichment training. They will even do well with kiddos that will run around and play with them. They both love to be around their people as well as dog friends.

We highly recommend obedience training as both will be good sized adults, and we wish for them to have good manners and become good citizens in their communities.

DISLIKES: being in a kennel or crate.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Work in progress! They do really well when taken out on a regular basis.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Both sleep in a crate each night time, (approx. 6 hours), and crated for approx. 4 hours each day, while their foster parents are at work. They can be vocal for a little while before settling down, so apartment life will not be in the cards for them.

All puppies require extra time and patience, as well as solid supervision to help them reach expected milestones, like potty training and crate training. Each has their own personality that their forever family will want to pay close attention to as they “train” together to develop a well adjusted adult in the future.

Additional adoption info

The process for adoption through our rescue begins with the adoption application. Once accepted, a meet and greet with the dogs is arranged and includes everyone in the family including other pets. If the dog seems like a good fit, he/she is brought to the home where the dog will be living to make sure it is an appropriate home....ie. dog friendly, fenced yard, etc. Finally, an adoption agreement is signed to insure that the adopter understands what is expected of them.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in foster homes prior to finding their forever homes. Please contact us if you see a dog you'd like to meet. We also participate in adoption events at local pet stores.

More about this rescue

Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is located in Eugene, Oregon. We focus mainly on small dogs that we rescue from the high kill shelters in California. We depend on foster families to help socialize and train the dogs prior to placing them in a forever home. We are focused on saving as many lives as possible!
