My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CODY

BREEED: Terrier cross (possibly with Shepherd)

AGE: 8 weeks old

WEIGHT: 5 pounds

LIKES: Blankets, being held, snuggling, and food because CODY LOVES FOOD.

DISLIKES: Being alone too much. Not having enough food.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Cody loves to snuggle into you when being held. He enjoys playing with other puppies and his toys. He's definitely attention seeking and will talk to you to get your attention.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: He's just a baby, so this is all new for him. Developing a consistent potty schedule, with time and patience, will go a long way toward building a solid foundation.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps in a pen all night with another puppy.

EXTRAS/MISC.: Cody was a bit underweight, due to his brother being twice his size, so he's going to need regular meals of kibble to help him put on some fat. (BUT you can't give him large amounts at once or he looks like he swallowed a stuffed animal.) A slow feeder or “gamified” feeding would be great for Cody.

To further inquire about CODY, click on the link to submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how CODY will mesh with your lifestyle.

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for CODY, as well as his future family.

Additional adoption info

The process for adoption through our rescue begins with the adoption application. Once accepted, a meet and greet with the dogs is arranged and includes everyone in the family including other pets. If the dog seems like a good fit, he/she is brought to the home where the dog will be living to make sure it is an appropriate home....ie. dog friendly, fenced yard, etc. Finally, an adoption agreement is signed to insure that the adopter understands what is expected of them.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in foster homes prior to finding their forever homes. Please contact us if you see a dog you'd like to meet. We also participate in adoption events at local pet stores.

More about this rescue

Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is located in Eugene, Oregon. We focus mainly on small dogs that we rescue from the high kill shelters in California. We depend on foster families to help socialize and train the dogs prior to placing them in a forever home. We are focused on saving as many lives as possible!
