My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dirk! Age:6 Weight: 36lbs
Don't let Dirk's pictures fool you. While he might have put on a smirk for the camera, Dirk is one handsome devil in person. He is just what you would imagine of a dog with some Husky in him. Dirk is athletic, energetic, smart (he already knows sit, down, and stay), and an all-around wonderful companion animal. He has all the friendliness, charm, and personality of a gallon-sized Husky; he just has it in a quart-sized body! Dirk has the vocal range of a Husky, so living in an apartment or home with shared walls is not advised. Dirk has shown a
(too) keen interest in chickens, so living with chickens is also out of the question! If you've always loved the independent-thinking, striking beauty, and exceptionally social nature of a Husky, Dirk is keen to meet you and show you what a loyal and loving friend he can be. If you have another dog in the home, please call the shelter to schedule a time for your pup and Dirk to meet in person!
