Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Fox Terrier mix
Female, 4 years old (estimated), 11 pounds
Who doesn't love a sweet Mango? This little lady is a darling companion who would love to accompany you on adventures. She is rapidly learning leash skills which we think was a whole new adventure for her when she first came to us! Mango rides quietly in the car and sleeps through the night. She also loves meeting new doggie friends!
Mango needs daily eye drops for treating her dry eyes, but she happily accepts them when offered a tasty bite as payment for her cooperation.
Mango can be a little shy when meeting people, but if you give her a treat or two and some chin scratches, she will be your new shadow! We think the whole leash thing is a new comcept for her, but she is learning quickly that she is able to still walk when attached to a leash. She would love a forever home who can continue working on her confidence-building and leash-walking skills. Mango will reward her forever home with ultimate devotion! She loves snuggling on the couch and will greet you in the morning with a little dance on her hind legs, thrilled to see you and start another exciting day!
Mango came to us from Kern County Animal Services when they discovered her dry eye condition. They knew she needed more medical care than they could provide at the shelter, so we were able to get her on a freedom flight through Pilots N Paws.
