My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome, senior gentleman is Valentine! Valentine is a special guy as he is mostly blind and partially deaf. Once Valentine is comfortable, he loves to sit on his person's feet, and be cuddled, so he is definitely a dog that will be underfoot. Valentine really just loves companionship and touch. He can be a little protective meeting new people.
He weighs about 8 lbs. and has his own voice! He will bark to see where his people are, and to let them know he would like their company. Valentine is about 12 years old and is looking for a home that will enjoy his need to cuddle, and he would like that home to be without other dogs. Valentine might be able to live with cats who stay away from his food! Valentine could live with older teens who can understand that he needs to be gently handled. If you are interested in meeting Valentine, please head to our website worcesterarl.org and click on his photo to fill out a Dog Adoption Inquiry. That is the first step! All meets are by appointment, thank you!

More about this shelter

Since our founding in 1912, the Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL) has been dedicated to the care of the animals who provide so much for their human companions. Without your support, however, nothing we do would be possible. WARL is a non-profit organization and your donations of money, time, supplies, homes, and love are vital to our cause and the lives of the animals in our care. Our sincerest thanks.
