My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Irene is sweet, gentle, independent, and affectionate-but has trauma.
Our sweet butterball is primarily unsighted, shy, and now free of her painful and infected teeth. We accepted her into our program from Solano County Sheriff's Office Animal Care Division after her adopting organization was content to let her stay with the hoarder that manipulated their way into adopting her and our cat Johnny.

Irene, like most hoarder cats, is shy, wary of strangers, and is unlikely to be a social butterfly. She gets along well with most animals-she isn’t a fan of playful young males. She needs a home with plenty of dark places to hide due to her limited and sensitive vision. She plays on occasion, loves treats, and would be content to sit in her cozy cave on the couch while someone brushed and pet her.

She is a DREAM at the vet and often purrs and biscuits during routine care. She is shy but trusting and has spent almost 2 years learning that she has a secure home that cares about her medical needs. Irene is fully vaccinated, has a clean bill of health, and is the sweetest baby girl. Ask about fostering her to see how she does in your home and to give her foster family a much needed break!

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We provide private in home fostering and do not allow visitors at our homes with an approved application, interview, and confirmed appointment made by the CEO.

We partner with our local, family owned businesses and events, but a majority of our adoptions are done from the comfort of your home.

More about this rescue

We work hard to educate the community about why spaying and neutering is important. We only take cats that are non adoptable in shelters which includes feral, abused, abandoned, and traumatized cats and kittens. We heal them inside and out using positive reinforcement and force free techniques. Last, we provide assistance to low income families to help them fix their pets, provide food to feral cat colony managers, and sponsor adoption fees for those who need a pet and can afford their care but not an additional fee.
