Don't let his chunky body fool you. Whiskey is a very active and agile boy who loves to explore. His favorite toys are kitty springs or anything he can chase around the living room floor. Whiskey also loves his scratching post. He has a very independent spirit but does like to sit on laps and snuggle up in bed. He loves to give leg hugs and will roll over for belly scratches. Whiskey has also been known to be somewhat playful with dogs that are not too aggressive with play. He is not the biggest fan of being picked up, but will let his owner do so. Whiskey is one of a kind and is the perfect combination of Wildman and lap cat. IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
