Sammy originally came in as a neutered stray and was adopted. Unfortunately, his story was not a happy one as the owner lied to us after applying for another cat, saying that Sammy was euthanized due to the vet's recommendation. The truth was, Sammy was found in a barn dying of starvation and fleas. He was rescued & rehabilitated over a period of months and is again healthy and looking for an appropriate home. Sammy does have a chicken allergy so will need a diet with no chicken by-products or chicken meal. Other than that, he is a beautiful boy deserving of a loving home.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received.
Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. Our main focus is spay /neuter assistance since we do not have a shelter.
We are often times confused with the local county shelter.
We have fosters for both cats and dogs...and do have a feline adoption center inside the PETCO on E State St.
We have monthly adoption events throughout the year.
